Our Story
1473 Farms LLc DBA: The Stand at 1473 State Rt 31. We believe in the older generation practices of farming. We consider all to be a friend; even though most are acquainted. Herbs and natural remedies over traditional new-age medicine. Majority of our flock for chickens is under the term hybrid, others are confirmed to be either cross or of pure heritage. The Birds as a collective receive scraps from the garden while on a traditional blend of grains. Our Farmstand is located on premises off our driveway. We offer Eggs; currently they are unwashed and come either as duck eggs or chicken eggs, if requested to be washed prior to pick up we can do so however they need to stay refrigerated, unwashed can be shelf stable under certain circumstances. We also offer candles, wax melts, handmade soaps, crafted home decor items including holiday and celebration wreaths. We are continuing to expand and with that expansion comes leaving our educational experiences. We also have in our flock Ducks and Geese. During early spring we do hatch chicks, ducklings and goslings. If requested we will sell hatching eggs. If we do not know we won’t keep them at 55 or higher to ensure fertility.
