Our Story
ASHKOLGRA Pasture Poultry Farm, operated by Max and Celia Hamilton, is raising chickens, and Red Wattle hogs in Madison County, Texas, on pasture supplemented with Non-GMO Feeds using no antibiotics or hormones and processed in a USDA plant. Our goal is growing chickens, and hogs in an environment outside where they can live more normal lives eating bugs and grass and enjoying the sun and rain.
“From the Farm to the Fork” is the heart of our systems. Growing birds and hogs and delivering to our clients, no middle-man. Moving our pens daily provides fresh pasture daily to our birds. Pasture systems produce a very high quality poultry product which is lower in fat and calories but higher in key vitamins such as Beta-carotene and Vitamin E. This is a wholesome food grown in harmony with Mother Nature, which contains Two to Six times more of the “Good” fats such as omega-3 fatty acid.
We can achieve our goals with a background of 27 years of restaurant management; a life time of farm and ranch experience and an Agriculture Education Degree from Texas A&M University. Producing sustainable agriculture from a family farm that Celia’s Great Grandfather farmed and raised cattle on is an accomplishment in itself. Family is really important to us and is how we chose our farm name, ASHKOLGRA Pasture Poultry Farm, by using the first three letters of our three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kolby, Grayson.
We deliver to the surrounding areas including The Woodlands, Dallas, Fort Worth, Conroe, Bryan, College Station and Huntsville.
