Back Forty Farms

Find a Farm

Our Story

Located on a 42-acre piece of heaven, Back Forty Farms is home to a lot of history.

The property used to be a 100-acre dairy farm in the early 1900’s.  Our trademark red barn is 100 years old and our farmhouse was built in 1915.  You will enjoy Indian Creek during your visit as it flows through our property.

There are plenty of animals to see during your visit such as chickens, sheep, goats, bunnies, ducks, turkeys, horses, a llama and even kangaroos! Also keep your eye out for a variety of wildlife such as fox, eagle, hawk, blue heron, beaver, and more.

Ron and Lisa have had the blessing of being successful business owners, entrepreneurs, and helping others through their non-profit organizations for decades in the Treasure Valley.  They have been married 28 years and have two amazing children.

After selling their companies and “retiring” in 2013, they sold their dream home and started Back Forty Farms in 2018.

Lisa enjoys educating and teaching people how to cook amazing tasting meals that are healthy, and with Back Forty Farms she will soon be offering this with her cooking classes.

Both Ron and Lisa have hearts to help and serve others and Back Forty Farms allows this to happen in countless ways.
