Borderwinds Farm is a small biodynamic farm in the Piedmont Region of North Carolina. The farm is located an hour from Greensboro, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and Winston-Salem.
I raise French Angora and Rex Rabbits, several breeds of ducks including Khaki Campbells, Chocolate Runners, Blue Swedish, and Buff. All our poultry are free-range during the day, but put up at night and supplemented with an 18% protein feed to ensure their diets are complete to support their egg-laying duties.
Farm products available for sale usually include angora wool for spinning, young French Angora and Rex rabbits in the spring and summer, vegetable seedlings in the spring-time, crocheted and knitted items, hard-shelled gourds and luffas, chicken eggs when available, duckling in the spring, duck eggs February through November, and Coturnix quail and quail eggs during the late-spring and summer.
