Our Story
As natives of South Africa, our family firmly lives by “ubuntu,” an African concept that means “I am because we are.” To us, the concept of ubuntu is a way of living – and a way of farming. It guides how we understand family, our community and our environment.
We believe that just as individuals reach their fullest potential in the company of others, so do we depend on our natural environment to thrive.
Our farming practices are grounded in principles of mutualism, continuous replenishing, and sustainability. We find joy in new technology and techniques that allow us to give back to the earth while providing healthy and delicious food to our community.
We specialize in raising our livestock exclusively on Pasture. We currently produce Pasture-Raised Poultry, Pasture-Raised Pork, Pasture-Raised Turkey and Pastured Eggs. We are working on adding Grass-Fed Lamb to our farm offerings as well. Our animals work to rejuvenate and replenish our pastures whereas our pastures provide our animals with supplemental nutrition.
We will also offer a very special product this year in Kentucky raised Saltwater Shrimp. These shrimp are raised indoors in above ground tanks using a biofloc system. Our shrimp are never exposed to any chemicals or antibiotics. The only inputs to our system is water, salt and feed. We are excited to expand our shrimp production this year! Feel free to reach out for more information on how we raise our shrimp!
Our products are better for the animal, better for the environment and better for the consumer!
