Our Story

We have been rebuilding our flock from predator losses this winter and have a healthy senior flock of 19 ISA (brown egg layers), 3 Astraulorpes, 1 Easter Egger, 1 Golden Laced  Wyandotte (24 Experienced layers).

Our junior layers who comprise our 3 new groups of layers consist of… well, we thought we had 75 new layers but we cannot count the roosters so we have 69 total, up-and-coming layers, with 3 very ornamental Yokohama birds (they were an impulse buy).  Each breed will not lay daily, and egg production is a factor of the amount of sunlight the chickens see, we estimate around 60 eggs/day once all the hens start laying.

Call for eggs.  We are on Morgan Road south of the turnpike on the east side.

2 – Gold Sex-Link (like ISA) – Aug 4th-ish – Brown – L-J

4- Amberlink – Aug 15-Sept 3 – Brown – M

12 – Easter Eggers – Aug 25- Sept 25 – Blue to Green – L-XL

2 – Blue Ameraucana – Sept 12-Sept 25 – Blue – M-L

3 – California Gray – Sept 3 – Oct 3 – White – L

5 – Dark Brahma – Sept 25th-ish – Brown -M-L

5 – Cream Legbar – Oct 10-Oct 24 – Blue – M-L
