Our Story
Freckled Farm is a family-run operation nestled in the heart of Good Hope, Alabama.
Owned & lovingly managed by Mark and Leah Bolin, this small farm reflects their passion for sustainable living & a deep desire to reconnect with their agricultural roots. In 2006, the couple purchased a portion of the original family homestead, once cultivated by Leah’s grandparents. What began as a modest venture with a few laying hens has grown into a thriving small farm. Today, Freckled Farm is home to a lively mix of goats, free-ranging chickens, & a high tunnel to support sustainable crop growth. With a heartfelt commitment to “getting back to the basics,” the Bolins invite you to join them on their heritage-inspired farming journey—where cherished traditions are revived & reimagined. These proud “freckled” city transplants are honored to uphold their family legacy while embracing the challenges and joys of building a thriving, sustainable farm.
