Hoff the Grid Homestead

Find a Farm

Our Story

Hoff the Grid Homestead is a non-gmo pasture raised poultry and forested pork venture owned by Adam and Emilee Hoff. Both natives of McEwen, TN, Adam and Emilee spent several years out of state during the early part of their marriage, then moved back to land that has been in Adam’s family for many years. Born out of a desire to honor the family land, revitalize its former status as an operational farm, and preserve its future, Adam has spent the last four years learning new skills in gardening and working the land. The idea of obtaining chickens was just a casual conversation at first, but the desire to try to move away from the inhumane conditions of factory farmed meat as well as having better self-sustainability, led to a quick acquisition of 29 hens for eggs and the first fifty meat birds in early 2022. The initial goal was simply to provide food for themselves and teach themselves about ethical and humane animal processing. Word of mouth business after a Fall 2022 public debut has shown great community interest. Hoff the Grid Homestead’s products include whole and cut ethically pasture raised chickens, true free-range eggs, forested premium heritage pork, homemade dry ranch mix and other seasonal goods.  Adam, Emilee, and their two daughters are proud to become a reliable and humane local source for chicken, eggs, and pork within the community.  They are grateful for the support and positive feedback they have received so far.
