HORSE FEATHERS

Our Story

We started raising a small flock of chickens in 1995 as a 4-H project for my daughter . It grew to 117 chickens at the peak. My daughter took first place in the Bridgewater country fair for several years before her schooling took over and she decided to stop raising chickens.

After a few years, I decided to restart the flock for my granddaughter, now 1 1/2 years old. We have a small flock of chickens (24) and are willing to sell our surplus eggs.

We sell eggs by the dozen and multi-dozen.

Our chickens are free range during the warmer months. In the winter and “Mud season” they are mostly inside and the feed is 16% layer with fresh fruit and vegetables as a daily supplement.

Our eggs are big, beautiful, brown and the yolks are nice and firm. We have a few green eggs from time to time.

No special hours of operation. By appointment or by chance. Calling first is best.

Hope to see you at our door step. I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with the quality of our eggs.
