Our Story
Our farm is in southern Washington County, Nebraska. I have owned this farm since 1978 and have raised cattle and chickens since 1982. About 13 minutes from Omaha or Blair.
We sell farm fresh eggs fed a soy free feed. Soy free is not just for those allergic to soy every one will enjoy the flavor. Eggs as the should taste.
We also sell beef. We run a cow calf operation of Dexter crossed with low line Angus. We are also feeding out Texas Longhorns which are a treat if you’ve never had Texas Longhorn meat. We corn finish for 160 to 200+ days depending upon species, Longhorns take longer. All meat is USDA inspected, we sell 1/4’s, 1/2’s whole and pieces. For those on a budget by the piece you get what you want, you do not have the huge upfront la out of money. Its just like going to the store – except the meat is better. No horomones, no vaccines, Grass until they are ready to put on feed.
New for 2025 we are raising Heritage Turkeys, Bourbon Red, Slate and Narragansett. These are smaller turkeys than store turkeys, they have smaller breast, more dark meat and a flavor profile ( not wild tasting ) that is out of this world. Once you have a heritage turkey a store turkey is rather bland.
