Our Story
My grandparents were all farmers. Growing up I wanted to have a farm and bought property when I could. Now that I retired from the Army, I am fulfilling my dream of being a farmer.
FFA and 4H were my ‘thing’ in high schools besides football. My children all were in 4H and each was 4H’er of the year more than once. I raised chickens and hogs while my children were big into chickens only. I won two FFA state titles, one in Poultry Judging and one in Farm Business Management. My children all won 4H cooking contests with the use of home grown products and several of the chickens they raised got state level awards. For us it is a labor of love and not work having a farm.
Cattle, poultry (eggs, pickled eggs, chickens when available), hay (small square bales) and firewood are my products.
