Our Story
Started my journey with four hens in a small backyard in a 16-unit apartment building in east Dallas in 2009. Got sick of city living in 2016, moved to a small-town (Edgewood) about an hour from Dallas, and never looked back. Country living fits right along with my Bio-Environmental Science Degree from Texas A&M University (1995) and my full time gig as an environmental consultant.
I try to incorporate my deep passion for sustainable living practices into everything I do on my small piece of heaven such as: a solar powered tiny home, rain water collection, free range hens, all natural composting, natural land clearing using goats, pesticide free home gardening, regenerative agriculture practices on the pastures, and limited impact to the land.
