Our Story

We are a family owned landscaping company that has been in business for over 30 years. A couple of years ago we decided to get some bees. The bees needed perennials and organic vegetables, fruit and herbs to pollinate- so we bought a greenhouse and started growing all of our plants from seed. We don’t use any kind of pesticides and we make our fertilizer out of eggshells (from our beautiful hens) Epsom salt, banana peels and homemade comfrey tea. We love our bees and we think we have the best tasting honey from all of the plants we provide them. We also have 30 hens that have names, different personalities and colored eggs. Every morning the girls get let out of the large coop to forage for bugs, eat grass, sunbathe and take a nice dust and dirt bath. They run around all day until it’s time for their organic food, mealworms, fresh water with a splash of apple cider vinegar and whatever fresh herbs that we have put in their nesting boxes and around the coop. In the summer they are treated to watermelon, Swiss chard, tomatoes, grapes and cabbage. They all get tucked in at night in their coop until the sun comes up and predators go to sleep. We allow the girls to rummage through the gardens to eat their fill of pests that we don’t want eating our veggies and intern, they fertilize for us. We take great pride in taking care of our plants and animals so they take care of us.
