From urban dwelling and grocer dependent to rural living, sustainable farming. That’s it in a nut shell. The year 2012 brought a job change took my family from the heart of the DFW Metroplex to a much smaller and definitely more rural setting. My daughters wanted to try their hand at chickens and that we have. Successfully raising free range chickens has given us the confidence to enter the fruit and vegetable production arena as well. My daughters are working hard to learn about sustainable farming as well as the economy of a dollar. We are being intentional about teaching our daughters God’s Word and how it applies to every area of our life…even on a small farm. We would love for you to stop by for conversation and maybe even a cup of coffee or fresh fruits and vegetables!
We currently have free range eggs – brown and white – available for sale at $4.00 per dozen. We package them in new cartons purchased from The Egg Carton Store. You are always welcome to return the cartons and we will refill them!
For most of the year we have chickens for sale as well. Our hens that are laying are $15 and those that are free ranging but not yet laying, they are $10.
