Our Story
I love having chickens – I just have one little problem… too many eggs!
I have 13 Ameracauna hens who lay blue/green eggs; 11 red pullets; 9 black pullets; 10 naked neck pullets; 4 roosters; and one sole red sexlink hen who keeps me entertained. They have a coop with 24 nesting boxes and a 1200 s.f. chicken yard, but they roam over 3 acres at will. They can fly. They can walk into the house if they want (and, yes, sometimes they do). It’s just a happy chicken place. My secret is: plenty of fresh clean water changed daily, good quality feed, and dancing music on the weekends.
Eggs are gathered daily.
