Our Story
We are a micro-farm in Harwood, Maryland. We raise quail, chickens, alpaca and ducks and are a registered egg producer with the state.
The quail are raised in flight pens during the spring, summer and fall. We switch them over to cages inside during the winter to keep them warm and comfortable. The flight pens are portable and are moved around on fresh grasses to keep them happy and healthy while the weather is suitable for them to be outside.
The chickens are more like pets. They free-range in our pastures and supply us and the local farmers market with plenty of beautiful eggs.
The alpaca’s supply us with soft, non-allergenic fibers for spinning, knitting and various other crafts.
We have 3 beautiful children who are learning from their experiences with the animals here on the farm.
