Our Story
Hi! We’re Lyndon’s Happy Hens—a small, well-loved backyard flock in Lyndon. We raise a mix of heritage breeds (Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Ameraucanas, and Copper Marans) that lay a gorgeous range of colors—blue, green, speckled, and dark brown—like an Easter basket year-round.
Our girls are free-ranging and fed organic, soy-free premium feed (a higher-cost choice), plus organic fruits and veggies during winter when forage is limited. We also let our hens follow a more natural laying cycle, focusing on health and welfare over maximum production. Fresh, local eggs—beautiful inside and out.
Our eggs are priced at $8/dozen because they come from a small flock raised the slow, careful way: heritage breeds, free-range days, and premium organic, soy-free feed (plus organic winter treats). These breeds lay on a more natural schedule—not pushed for maximum production—so you get fewer eggs, but a higher standard of care and a truly special carton of blue, green, speckled, and chocolate-brown eggs.
