Our Story
Powers Farm takes a caring approach in raising our livestock to produce all natural, fresh, pasture raised, high quality, high palatability*, USDA Inspected beef, pork and lamb meat products. Our cage-free laying hens produce delicious farm-fresh brown eggs that are all natural and free of growth hormones. Powers Farm dedicates our love and labor to offer a healthy and affordable mealtime favorite from our farm to your plate; we strive to be your choice.
Our products are used by many local restaurants. The Grain Restaurants all use our eggs, scrapple and sausage. Sully’s Irish Pub in Middletown, DE features our eggs and banger sausages. Our eggs and a variety of our meats can be purchased at local stores such as Willey Farms in Townsend, Cross Street Market in Galena, MD, Fifer Orchards in Camden, Priapi Gardens in Cecilton, MD and Newark Natural Foods in Newark, DE.
In addition to meat sales, we also utilize the wool from our flock of sheep to create and sell: custom-made wool-filled comforters, mattress pads, and pillows. Also, another by-product we sell are sheep skins, great for seat covers in the car or home, bed-rest patients, and floor rugs.
Furthermore, to assist in the workings of our farm, we raise Australian Shepherds, these phenomenal companions are terrific workers and family dogs, please check back often for new litters of Aussies!
