We are the Smith Family and Welcome to our farm! In 1974, Andrew’s Grandfather, Riley Smith, purchased this land. He built a house and raised their children, who had their grandchildren, who now are raising their great grandchildren. Andrew was blessed to have grown up on this farm and when we began a family of our own, we found our place on the farm to raise the 4th generation.
While there have been various animals, crops and other projects on our farm over the years, 2023 provided a huge shift for our farm. This land has given generously throughout the years to not only our family, but our community as well. We enjoy harvesting, sharing and enjoying God’s blessings in community. However, God was calling us for something bigger when He planted the idea of pasture raised chicken farming on Andrew’s heart.
Our journey to provide clean, delicious, nutrient-rich food for our community began with a desire to provide that same food for our family. We began small with one chicken tractor, while educating ourselves in the process. As we dove headfirst into understanding regenerative agriculture practices, we discovered superior ways to feed our family. More than that, we wanted to share this experience – from our farm, to your table – with our community. And so it was! Red Acre Farm.
Here at Red Acre Farm, we pride ourselves in producing the highest quality, best tasting, organically fed, pastured poultry products. Our poultry is raised and harvested on our farm. They live a stress-free life, free from antibiotics, steroids, hormones, and pesticides.
Additionally, we offer pasture raised pork products. Our pastured pork is raised with the utmost care and detail to deliver a final product that is rich in flavor and free from antibiotics, steroids, hormones, and pesticides. Our pork is a descendant heritage breed dating back to the 1800’s from the Rooks Family in Inverness, FL.
