Wild Winds Farm – wiggles, wings, and whinnies

Find a Farm

Our Story

Situated in the beautiful countryside of Kentucky and only a few miles from the Tennessee border, Wild Winds Farm is the perfect day out for people of all ages, young and old alike.

We want others to see and be a part of what we love; to discover the satisfaction farm life can give; the joy and fulfillment the critters share with us. Come picnic under the pines, swing or enjoy the firepit. Learn about raising animals and growing veggies. You can even elect to become actively involved in whatever daily chores need to be completed or you can just enjoy the nice breeze on our spacious porches.

We are excited to be a part of The Homegrown by Heroes program! We are certainly proud of our heroes…Roger Barton (Army) co-owner of Wild Winds Farm, and our son Nicky Barton. (Air Force ) Those who serve this country and their families sacrifice many things to protect our freedoms. We feel the Homegrown by Heroes program is a good way to promote their enterprises upon their return to civilian lives, and this also allows those who purchase a veteran’s products to feel pride in supporting us with their purchase.

Wild Winds Farm is also thrilled to be KY Proud certified.  Buying Kentucky Proud products ensures that you’re eating fresh and nutritious foods while supporting Kentucky’s farm families. Buying local products strengthens our local economy by keeping dollars at home and building a sense of community during the process.

We hope our enthusiasm for country living rubs off on our visitors and they will leave with an education and a sense of peace and relaxation. The endeavors at Wild Winds Farm have always been a learn-as-we-go process. We welcome your input – don’t forget to take home some fresh eggs from our happy hens!  We also sell Barren Rock chicks (Spring-Summer), Muscovy ducks, and guineas. We hope you will come sit a spell, have some sweet tea and share your story with us!
